Party Hardy!
There was a party at Vera's today during lunch!!! We hear a lot when we get the four sisters in the same room. Like...Jared is graduating from South Plains and Chance was honored for his grades at Cisco. Everyone knew the sexes and names of the upcoming Riggin's great-grandchildren but no one could remember them at the moment. Therefore, if anyone wants to comment the news then I would greatly appreciate it. Mom, Melinda age 55, had a great birthday lunch and yummy cake. No 'biggest loser' in this bunch today.

Do Dogs Really Go To Heaven?
Why, of course they do!!! The Garden of Eden was heaven on earth and that was Adam and Eve's main job, naming and taking care of the animals. And remember the verse about heaven that says the lion will lay down with the lamb. Peace, total peace!
God has one more dog in heaven today. May 6, 2007 in the middle of the afternoon, Granny's dog Niki went to be with her Creator.
Pray for Granny Vera! There will be a lonely spot on her lap and in her heart.

An Apple A Day...
Well, Aunt Jimmie Ann has not kept the doctors away as of late. But, she did get a good report yesterday from one of her doctors. As a matter of fact, a report is not the only thing she got from her doctor. SHE GOT A HUG FROM HIM, too! He was very excited about her progress and I'm sure he was proud of her great attitude, too. She is Miss Congeniality! The mass has shrunk and there are no new areas developing. Thank you, Lord.

Dr. Dolittle
Kaden and I had a fun weekend! T-ball and carnival on Saturday then church and ant farm on Sunday. At some time on Sunday, we were commenting on this crazy cat that keeps meowing at the back door. Kent told it, "We don't know what's wrong with you, if you'd just tell us we could help." Kaden said, "Ya know I understand dog and cat language." I asked him, "What is that cat trying to tell us?" And Kaden replied, "I don't know that cat's speakin' Spanish." LOL

Who Wants To Be...
Well, I arrived at Granny Vera's about 5 minutes after Mom. (problem was, we were three hours late for the lunch that Treva brought along with Floyd and Blake) We played hand & foot and marbles with Sue, then baked an egg custard and Mollie came over for some crummy rummy (she beat our butts, I might add).
Brian and his fiance blew through with their good news. Sherry shared some peacekeeping maneuvers she did in the middle of the night. Melinda and Chris squared off and they are challenging one another and anyone else to step up to the scales for a "Family Biggest Loser" contest. All of us desperately want to be healthy, so let's have some fun in the process. After laughing my head off about breathing, belly and butt statements, we weighed in and antied-up.

New face...
Well, we had a new face in Goree, Texas this weekend. Shea brought her new boyfriend home to meet the parents, or NanaTrainham rather. We had a wonderful visit. He is a great guy and always thinking of others before himself. Just when I thought we had him snowed into thinking that we weren't really all that weird, Kent and I rolled the four-wheeler we were riding. Don't worry, only scratches and bruises. The worst damage was bruised egos...

Tanisha's MySpace Bio...

We are so excited and can't wait. we think we will be due in november, but we havent gone to the doctor yet.Casey just knows it is going to be a boy. I dont care as long as it is healthy. we will keep you posted on the progress and dont ask if we will know what we are haveing because we have decided NOT to find out. That is one of Gods little surprises that we can still have. I'm 22 and married. I love to spend time with my husband Casey and our dog "Bauer". We love our families and spend as much time with them as possible.

The Fire!
Daniel 3:16 "Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego replied to the king, 'O Nebuchadnezzar, we do not need to defend ourselves before you in this matter. 17 If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to save us from it, and he will rescue us from your hand, O king. 18 But even if he does not, we want you to know, O king, that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up'."
The prince of this world (satan) has thrown Aunt Jimmie into a fiery trial. And like Shadrach, Meshach and Agednego, God did not spare Aunt Jimmie Ann from entering the fire. But, He can rescue her from within the fire! Keep praying BIG.
1 Peter 4:12 "Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you. 13But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy."

Lois' Life
This is what I know so far...her shower is on March 24, 2007 in Munday from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the Munday Community Center. And the date for the wedding is April 7, 2007. I know the style for her house is rustic. The kitchen is Talavera (Mexican Pottery). And the bath is carmel. So once again, congrats to Lois, soon to be Mrs. Kurt Redden.

Sweet And Sour
Well, I add this update with mixed emotions. I have some sweet and sour news to share...Savanna is four months along and due in August. And the other sweet bit of news is Mendy and Chad are expecting Emme/Eme/Emmy in May. This little girl already has a name, but they haven't decided on the spelling of it. And yet another sweet morsel is Lois' engagement to Kurt. There will be details about the shower coming soon. Lots of fun times.
And the not-so-fun news is about Aunt Jimmie Ann. She is in United Regional Hospital on 11th street in room #580. They have found a mass in her brain and are planning a biopsy for Monday at 3:30 p.m. Let's storm the gates of heaven and ask really HUGE prayers of our Father on her behalf. Pray big because my Bible says something like...'you have not because you ask not'. Is that what your Bible says? Please pray, pray, pray.

A Learning Experience...
Well i have got some bad news now. This passed saturday morning i was kicked
off the basketball team for a party that i shouldn't have gone to,
especially in season. My consequences i thought would be a game or two
suspension, but boy was i wrong! I was kicked off for the entire season,
which ticks me off because me and the other girl that was eliminated from
the team aren't the only two girls that drink on the team.... I am extremely
depressed and if i let any of y'all down, I AM SO SORRY!!!! but as my
parents told me, people make mistakes and i was punished for mine. Anyways
i'm sorry again and I'll see y'all soon. Oh by the way, one good thing about
it is that now i get to go watch Jimmy play basketball now!
(hey, it's me Cassie! I was just dropping in to say hello! If you didn't
already know i play basketball at McMurry University and if any of you want
to keep posted on how i'm doing you can go to the McMurry web site,
www.mcm.edu then click on the athletics part and go to women's basketball.
If any of you guys happened to be in Abilene on a Thursday evening or on a
Saturday after lunch you should go to one of the games. They're always
exciting! Well y'all take care. Love, Cassie)

Happy New Year Cliftons!
Well, I had lunch with Granny Vera, Jimmie and Molly at the Maverick yesterday. We had some laughs. It needs to be said that Jimmie Ann is now up and running on her email. So, drop her a line. And heard that Kenneth has a new job. Good luck, Kenneth! Brandon officially started his new job this week. Granny loaned me her luggage because Kent suprised Shea and I with a vacation to Hawaii. And finally, the best for last, Chad and Mindy are expecting, as are Savanna and Michael. We are so happy for you all! It sounds like a Happy New Year! Love, Tammie

Happy Birthday to you~~~~
Last Sunday, Vera and Jimmie Ann were treated to a birthday lunch and birthday cake compliments of Sue and Molly. And, of course, a day of gaming. When I finally found out their hiding spot at Sue's, I crashed the party. They finished a game of Wahoo and we enjoyed two games of Crummy Rummy. I won one and Molly won the other. I don't think life can get any better than that...and today is the big day for Jimmie Ann!!! Happy Birthday Miss Ann!

Happy Thanksgiving!
Thanksgiving happenings...
Jimmie Ann went to Rick's and had enchilada soup on Thursday and a traditional meal on Saturday with Carla's family. Jimmie and Summer shopped till they dropped on Friday.
Molly had her family for traditional trimmings on Thursday.
Sue joined Chris' bunch on Thursday and they were joined by some of Sherry's relatives. And, lo and behold, Eric was finally home from Seattle where he had been training for his job.
Vera was in Wichita Falls with her crew. Blake finished his delivering and joined us. And Kenan enjoyed family before going to St. Louis, Missouri for a storm.
What are you thankful for? Leave a comment below...

Ma & Pa's Pride & Joy
"Tammie, I thought you could use this picture in your blog. Jimmy is playing soccer in a league at Graham, so they faithfully go to practice over there two days a week, and then have a game every saturday." said, Lois Reneau.
Wow, Jimmy that guy is huge. We hope you ran circles around him. Good Luck this season.
"We had our pictures taken last May for Ma's birthday, Ma is brenda, greg is Pa." said Lois. It is really awkward to imagine Greg and Brenda as Ma & Pa. If they are that old, then so am I. And I'm in denial!

A Year Of 1st's
It was Kaden's first year of school (Kenan's first son). He loves Mrs. Tulane. The only problem, he has a Texas Longhorn's backpack (not TTU). But, other than that he may be the smartest kid in Kindergarten.
In October, Slade (Kenan's second son) had his first birthday!
(Fact #1: Kenan does not need fertility drugs, but Tammie may. Got some? jk)
Miss Jimmie
The Lewis Lot
The Collin's Cluster
The Hon's Trilogy
All three boys and their families were faithful attenders of the '06 Reunion. And one must add, they are a family of fine cooks. A new addition to this side of the family was Eric's new bride, Kelly. Welcome to the family! Hope we didn't scare you off. And something else new on this end of the family was Nita's brand-new job with the City. Congratulations Nita!

Our Reunion in '06
These are the 'sisters' who are responsible for this whole mess! And it was a year for firrrrsts and surrrprises. Thank you ladies for working so hard to make this day happen and for being the glue that holds this family together.
(The photos I took with my handy throw away didn't turn out very good, but I'll post 'em anyway...especially if you 'all don't send me some better pictures.)
In Loving Memory of C.D.
Finally, I had the reunion photos developed. And instead of enjoyment, I sensed some heartache. This was one of the last memories I have of Uncle C.D. But, on a lighter note...his life is a celebration. A celebration of his community service and his love for the church and of course his family. He was a neat, neat guy. We love you and miss you. (tell Jesus hello for us)
